Despite only the drummer— Aidan McGaha— being born in Tennessee, Whimper found its roots in the alt scenes of Nashville. He & the other members, each brought to the state on their own journey, would fit together to make a sound so unique they still struggle to define themselves as any existing genre.

Guitarist Noah Sacdalan & “Front-thing” Jackie Oram would meet when both their families moved from California to Tennessee during their highschool years.It was at this school that they’d also befriend Aidan and begin to work on music individually.

While Jackie pursued a Bachelor’s in Classical Voice at Belmont University, Noah decided to zero-in on the music industry through Dark Horse Institute’s vocational programs. It was here that he met Jacques Denoux & Brenner Atwood and things began falling into place.

Now, a little over a year after the band’s founding, Whimper anticipates to release their debut EP in early 2027.

The full EP was mixed by Grammy award winning engineer Dave Hagen, and recorded by Grammy nominee Dennis Ritchie.
